Introduction

Last updated: November 3, 2026.

Bossa Nova Solutions ("Bossa Nova", "we", "us") is a product design and engineering company based in Los Angeles, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit bossanovasolutions.com or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

If you have any questions about this policy or our practices, write to us at hello@bossanovasolutions.com.

Information We Collect

This website has no accounts and no forms. We only collect personal information that you choose to give us:

  • When you book a call: your name, email address and anything you add to the booking, through Google Calendar appointment scheduling (see Third-Party Services).
  • When you email us: your name, email address and the content of your message.
  • When we work together: the contact and business information needed to run the engagement.

Like any website, the servers that deliver this site receive technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We do not use this information to identify you.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you give us to:

  • Schedule and hold the call you booked, and follow up on it.
  • Answer your questions and requests.
  • Prepare proposals and, if we work together, perform our contract with you.
  • Send you occasional news about our work, only if you have asked us to. You can stop it at any time.
  • Keep the website secure and working, and comply with our legal obligations.

We process your information because you asked us to (consent), because it is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you, because we have a legitimate business interest in responding to you and running our business, or because the law requires it.

Cookies and Tracking

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and does not set cookies of its own.

When you open the booking calendar, Google may set its own cookies inside it. Those are governed by Google's privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a few trusted providers to run this website. They receive only what they need to provide their service:

  • Google Calendar appointment scheduling, which shows our availability and records the bookings you make.
  • Google Fonts, which delivers the typefaces of this website. Your browser requests them from Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
  • Firebase Hosting (Google Cloud), which serves this website and keeps standard server logs.

Google's handling of this information is described in its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We only share personal information:

  • With the service providers listed above, to run this website and our business.
  • With your consent, or at your direction.
  • When the law requires it, for example in response to a court order or a lawful request from a public authority.
  • To protect our rights, our clients, or the security of our services.
  • If our business is merged or sold, with the new owner, under the same protections.

Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we take reasonable steps to secure it, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against interception or misuse.

Retention of Information

We keep your personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes in this policy: for a booking or an inquiry, for as long as the conversation is active; for a client, for the length of the engagement and the records the law requires us to keep. Then we delete it.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Receive it in a portable format.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information. We do neither.

California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA. People in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have them under the GDPR. We will not treat you differently for using them.

To make a request, email hello@bossanovasolutions.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will answer within the time the law requires.

Children

This website is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our website or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
